See? I'm updating. Look at me updating. I'm ace I am.
This weekend I mostly screamed at my son. Oh lordy he was a shit and a half. I love him dearly but sometimes, just sometimes I get to the point where I can't do anything to stop him being an utter git - short of having another child and hanging it as an example of what giving mummy a nervous breakdown can do.
Then yesterday, after working all day I went to see this man. Yes kids, it is FOLK MUSIC. He's bloody good is Eric, if a little miserable sometimes. He makes up for this with the song He's Nobody's Moggy Now, which is bloody ace.
The support act made me wee though - a duet from a Suffolk folk club. Without wishing to be too cruel, the guitar playing was lovely, but the singer was in her late 60's and sounded like my gran...difficult to describe, but imagine Betty from Emmerdale's face and Hilda Ogdens voice. Oh yes.
Tonight I have been listening to music, and am currently singing along to Candi Staton. I like singing I do.
